
We all have Grandparents or we used to have them. They usually tend to buy things for us (as grandchildren) even though we actually don’t like what they give us. The market segment known as “Babyboomers” or person who was born during the demographic Post-World War II baby boom, is transforming into one of the most interesting purchasing power in the U.S. through creative messages in emails, websites (i.e. gradparents.com (it is worth mentioning, some of them really like to use online tools)) and traditional channels (T.V., Radio, etc.), marketers can attract this new potential customer that controls over 50% of the nation’s wealth (U.S.A). Industries such as toys maker, travel services and consumers good companies, with a tailored marketing plan for this market segment, can expand their horizons and skyrocket their sales.
Marketers, don’t fall asleep! although they are stereotyped as old and inactive, they still work, they travel, they are still active and they have money!
